Hands on Heritage: Recording Heritage on the Blackwater EHOD 2024

About

Join UAH staff at the beautiful Blackwater Valley River Trail to learn more about its history and record aspects of its diverse industrial and built heritage via the Hands on Heritage in your area recording app.

The tour will begin at the Maydown car park where we will explore the path of the Ulster Canal and Blackwater trail. We will record the industrial heritage of the area with the Hands on Heritage Recording App.

The tour will end at Milltown Mill where we will hear about its history and legacy. We will also highlight the heritage at risk structures on the walk.

The tour should take 1hr 30minutes and is 2miles in length on flat paths. Paths may be overgrown so please dress appropriately and bring sturdy footwear.
