Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy is delighted to welcome television and poetry legend Henry Normal to The Helicon stage for an evening of pure escape with stories, jokes and poems.
Henry is co-writer and producer of some of the biggest hits of British TV and film of recent years. He co-wrote Mrs Merton and The Royle Family among others, and produced Gavin and Stacey, Alan Partridge and the Oscar-winning film Philomena.
Henry has published nine collections of poetry, including his most recent collection The Escape Plan. He has performed his poetry widely across the UK and has written and performed six BBC Radio 4 shows, including his latest, A Normal Universe. In 2017, he was honoured with a special BAFTA for services to television.
This event is taking place as part of the Mid Ulster Arts Festival.
