Suitable for ages 8 - 12 years

Explore the world of digital music making in this hands-on workshop where children will learn how to craft their own beats, play virtual instruments, use audio loops and mix their own songs.  Kids bring the ideas and enthusiasm, and we’ll provide the tools and skills to bring your ideas to life!  No experience necessary.   All equipment provided. Two sessions available to book: 10am -12 noon OR 2pm-4pm (ASD-Friendly).

 

Children will:

Explore a range of musical genres, such as EDM, House, Rock, Chill

Use virtual instruments to play in your musical idea

Creating their own beats

Layer sounds to build a short piece of music

Experiment with loops, samples, and sound effects

Apply DJ style effects and breaks, such as filter sweeps, 8 bit, echoes

 

Children will learn how to:

Create a beat and build a short song using digital audio tools

Layer sounds, instruments, audio loops and effects creatively

Change tempo, balance levels, and improve the overall sound

Develop confidence and creativity through music and audio production
