About

Built around 1619 by Sir Baptist Jones, Bellaghy Bawn is a fortified house and bawn (the defensive wall surrounding an Irish tower house). What exists today is a mix of various building styles from different periods with the main house lived in until 1987.

Wheelchair access is limited.

No unaccompanied children under the age of 16.

Directions from Town:
Getting there Bellaghy Bawn is situated two miles off the main Belfast to Londonderry road (A6). Turn right onto the B182/Deerpark Road signposted Bellaghy and continue to follow the B182 to Bellaghy. Bellaghy Bawn is the large white house on the hill to your left as you enter the town.
