Join us at Hill of The O'Neill & Ranfurly House, Dungannon for a history talk by Déaglán Ó Doibhlin, Irish Language Officer, Mid Ulster District Council entitled 'Place Names, Townland Names and Landscape'.

Déaglán will talk about the place names, townlands and landscape associated with this part of Tyrone. He has a deep interest in Gaelic heritage and landscape studies and has published occasionally on a variety of subjects including folklore, mythology, and place names.
His latest publication Landscapes of Hunting and Assembly in the North of Ireland - Three Case-Studies, which he co-authored with archaeologist Dr Paul Logue, appeared in the 2020 edition of The Journal of Irish Archaeology.

This event is taking place as part of the Mid Ulster Arts Showcase which will run from 1 - 31 March 2024.
