St Colman's Parish Church, Ardboe was built in 1713 to replace the old Church near the Cross at Ardboe. The church is a small stone and lime rectangular building, with two-bay nave, paired lancets, bell cote and porch. All valuable materials from the old church were reused, including the mullions of the East Window, the font and the door.
The Rev John Darley (grandson of Arthur Guinness, founder of the famous brewery) enlarged the church by the addition of a north transept. He died at the age of 37 and is buried below the East Window.
Visitors are welcome to come and explore at their leisure during EHOD, discovering the character and history of this early 18th-century church.
A Sunday service will take place on 14th September at 9.45am, and all are warmly welcome to attend
