Stars & Stones Explored

About

This month we will be discovering more about the Milky Way, finding out how it is used by animals for navigation and why humans also adopted it for storytelling.

You'll also be able to observe the Sun through our solar telescopes before setting off on our Solar Walk to the Neolithic stone site – Beaghmore Stone Circles. You will hear ancient stories and learn why this site was so significant to our ancestors. Spend some time enjoying the heritage and landscape around you before making your way back to OM where you will enjoy a picnic.

The walk will be 7km. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing. Dress weather appropriate as this event is outdoors.

Please advise when booking if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies.
