About

Ronan Cottage is a Tourist Board certified facility offering modern comfortable two bedroom self catering accommodation for families and small groups of 4 people. It is situated on an elevated rural site approximately 10-15 minutes walking distance from the centre of the busy market town of Magherafelt.

The cottage is adjacent to and overlooks the Ronan Valley Golf Course which is a ten hole par 3 golf course. Other activities in the area include:

Fishing; golf; walking/rambling; and sailing. The Moyola River, Moyola Park Golf Club, the Sperrin Mountains, Ballyronan Marina, and Lough Neagh are all within 2-8 miles from the cottage.

The National Trust’s Springhill House in Moneymore, Seamus Heaney Homeplace and Bellaghy Bawn, housing the Seamus Heaney exhibition, are less than 5 miles away.

The cottage is ideally situated as a touring base as Magherafelt is approximately a one hour drive from many of Northern Ireland’s tourist sites i.e. Belfast, Derry City, and Giant’s Causeway
