A warm welcome awaits you at Rosehill House

Rosehill House is a unique, charming, thatched cottage resting in the heart of the countryside. It is nestled in a delightfully, secluded, peaceful location with a warm, homely feel to it. It is a spacious, self-catering cottage, located on the outskirts of the village of Stewartstown, in Co. Tyrone, Ireland.

Stepping into Rosehill House, you are immediately transported back to old Irish country life in the 1840s. It will take you on a journey back to the days of your ancestors where you will experience how they used to live while still maintaining all the comforts and luxuries of modern-day living.

Rosehill House features all the authentic aspects and characteristics of a traditional Irish cottage including several large, hearth fireplaces, flagstone flooring, feature beams, and an authentic half door yet complements them with modern features, including underfloor heating, contemporary furnishings, and an atmospheric turf fire. It is tastefully bedecked throughout with original period-time furniture, old architectural features, authentic utensils, and everyday trinkets from years gone by. Its crowning glory is, of course, the wonderful thatched roof.

With a quick inhalation upon entering Rosehill House, you’ll experience the nostalgic aroma of the old Irish turf fires, freshly baked soda bread, old-style geraniums, and the old oil lamps that are still called into service on special occasions.

The ground floor hosts a large, comfortable family sitting room full of character, where guests can gather on a cosy winter's night and settle in for a family film night around the open turf fire.

Rustle up an evening meal in the kitchen/diner which houses all the amenities to assist you in your self-catering requirements and catch up on the day around the family dining table.

The kitchen/Dining area has 2 large dining tables to seat up to 24 guests, large aga, belfast sink, and turf fire

Additional Kitchen with all modern cons and appliances needed to self cater for your group, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc

Upstairs there are 4-5 large bedrooms with luxurious beds including a king-size four poster, antique brass beds, original spring double, antique mahogany double, and old-time twins.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Sleeping up to 14 adults (plus a cot available), the house is fully furnished and comes with luxury bed linens and towels.

Rosehill House has a fully-licensed bar for the use of our guests only.

Forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in any of our cosy bedrooms with the sounds of the countryside to gently awake you in the morning and spend many an evening telling stories by a roaring fire. Such is the peaceful nature of the surroundings and the character of Rosehill House, it is a perfect choice for families, friends reunions, work team-building or maybe artists or writers who won't fail to be inspired.

Rosehill House truly is a hidden gem that needs to be personally experienced by staying over for a weekend of a week-long stay to be truly appreciated. No words can describe the aura of “oldness” you inhale when you visit, even on a short trip.
