As well as providing breathtaking views the trail also incorporates over 30 major sites of interest including marinas, nature reserves, parks and sites of archaeological interest.

Ballyronan to Ardboe Cross - 18 miles

At the T-Junction take a left and then the next road to the right. Cycle for about 2 miles and another blue cycle way is signed to the left. Travel on to the next T-Junction at Ballinderry and turn right following the blue cycle way signs. Continue for half a mile, the route then turns off road down Cot Lane to the left. At the end of this lane turn right and then left. This road will take you past Currn Quay, Kinturk Cultural Centre, and Coyles Cottage. At Coyles Cottage take the road to the left and continue to the end of this road where you will then turn right and then left. Continue on this road until the end of the route at Ardboe Cross.

Discover the Lough Shore Cycle Trail

A mostly level 113 mile circuit of Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in Britain and Ireland, on quiet, virtually traffic-free minor roads and lanes with short stretches of traffic-free path. The route takes in Antrim, Portadown and Toome along the way. Touching the lough shore on many occasions, cyclists pass small beaches overlooking the vastness of water.  The route has many attractions, including the 1,000-year-old Celtic high cross at Ardboe, the grounds of Clotworthy House and the spectacular railway viaduct at Randalstown.  There is an option to continue north from Toome to Portglenone to take in the smaller Lough Beg.
