About

A film projection on to the outside of the Observatory building, our OM Odyssey will take you on a journey through time and space.

Take a seat on the stone-built viewing terrace, and let the headsets bring to life the dramatic scenes projected on to the side of the building. Get away from the urban lights into the darkest of dark skies, speed into space to experience satellites, suns and starbursts, and swoop through an ancient forest, under the fast-flowing Broughderg River, before soaring into the sky, into a galaxy of stars and the mesmerising Aurora Borealis.

This is a film which is experienced, rather than simply watched. Put simply, you have to see it for yourself. You’ll be sitting outside to watch our OM Odyssey, so dress appropriately and wrap up warm!

Please note: The film experience only runs annually from October to February.

Cost: £3 per person

Book online: www.omdarksky.com

Make a day of it and book a guided tour of the OM Exhibition before stepping outside to the viewing platform (lasts 1 hour).  Tours cost £5 (adult) and £3.50 (concession).
