The Helicon, situated in Seamus Heaney HomePlace, is our intimate 190-seater theatre and performance space, designed with a nod to the Greek theatre which Seamus Heaney so loved, and where you can enjoy theatre, music, song, poetry, readings and talks inspired by his life and literature on the traverse stage.

Seamus Heaney HomePlace is an award-winning purpose-built arts and literary centre.  Not only do we have an award winning Exhibition and superb Arts Programme, visitors can also avail of our modern Meetings and Events spaces, the unique Gift Shop stocking handmade, local items and our delicious HomePlace Café.
