Bat Walk

About

Celebrating our incredible flying friends with a special Bat Walk at sunset! Join us for an evening of discovery as we learn about local bat species and watch them in action as night falls.

We will talk you through all the different bat species resident here in Northern Ireland and highlight how light pollution affects these nearly-blind mammals. Bat detectors on hand with staff but feel free to bring your own too.

This event is open to all ages and will be indoors and outdoors involving a short walk. If the weather isn’t ideal for bat-spotting we’ll have fun bat crafts, explore the mythology of bats, and direct you to resources to help raise awareness for these tiny flying mammals.
