About

(English below)
Dé Sathairn 25 agus Dé Domhnaigh 26 Deireadh Fómhair, tiocfaidh beocht i dTearmann Dúlra Dhroim nDamh san oíche le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar an fhéile Cheilteach, Samhain. Ba ghnách lenár sinsir an tSamhain a cheiliúradh mar dheireadh an fhómhair agus tús 'leath dhorcha' na bliana. Bíonn ceiliúradh traidisiúnta solais ag go leor cultúr ar fud an domhain ag an tráth seo bliana agus na tráthnónta dorcha ag druidim linn.

Déanfar óg agus aosta a threorú tríd an choill ar chosáin dhraíochtúla a bheas á soilsiú ag tine agus solas lena chinntiú nach dtéann tú ar seachrán! Beidh siúlóidí treoraithe ar fáil go dátheangach agus i nGaeilge amháin gach oíche.

Má thagann sibh ann na hoícheanta sin, beidh an choill beo le carachtair dhraíochta, scéalaíocht, taibheoirí sráide agus seó tine. Beidh éadaí teo de dhíth agus bróga nó buataisí cuí. Ná déan dearmad do laindéar féin a thabhairt leat fosta.

Tá súil agaainn nach gcaillfidh sibh an t-eispéireas draíochtúil seo. Ná bíodh eagla ar bith oraibh, cosnóidh tinte ársa na Samhna sibh agus cuimhnígí go soilsíonn an solas is lú féin go geal sa dorchadas.

On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October, Drumnaph Nature Reserve will come alive at night to celebrate the Celtic festival, Samhain. Samhain was celebrated by our Ancestors and it marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of the 'Dark Half' of the year. Many cultures around the world hold traditional celebrations with light at this time of year as the dark evenings draw in.

Young and old will be guided through the woods by fire and light to ensure you don't go astray! We will be offering guided walks both bi-lingually & through Irish on the nights.

All those who venture into the woods will meet some enchanting characters along the way and enjoy storytelling, performers and interactive drama. Remember to wrap up warm and wear appropriate footwear for the journey. Don't forget to bring your own lantern too.

We hope you will not miss this enchanting experience. There is no need to be afraid, the ancient fires of Samhain will protect you and remember, even the smallest light shines brightly in the darkness.
