Summer Creative Writing Programme – Colours of Bellaghy

We are excited to launch a brand-new Summer Creative Writing Programme at Seamus Heaney HomePlace – Colours of Bellaghy! This programme is open to everyone, whether you are new to writing or already well-versed with the pen.

Rooted in the inspiring landscape of Bellaghy and Seamus Heaney HomePlace, this programme invites both locals and visitors alike to explore, reflect and write creatively.

From the Iron Age to Gen Z, Bellaghy is rich with colourful stories. In this creative writing series, you will uncover some of them through guided walks, relaxed conversations, and inspiring writing sessions at HomePlace, all rooted in the landscapes and history around you.

Programme dates and times:

Tuesday 29th July |10:30am – 1:00pm
Thursday 31st July | 10:30am – 1:00pm
Tuesday 5th August | 10:30am – 1:00pm
Thursday 7th August | 10:30am – 1:30pm
Cost:
£20 per person (covers all 4 sessions)

Please note:

Spaces are limited to 25 participants
Booking includes all 4 sessions
You are welcome to walk or drive between locations – meeting points will be provided
Please let us know in advance if you have any issues with transport
Cancellations can be refunded up to 48 hours before the first session
