About

Following the success of the first ‘Taste Mid Ulster’ Market in Moy earlier this year, a second event will take place in Pomeroy at the end of the month.

An exciting weekend of food and entertainment will take over Pomeroy Forest on Saturday 29 June from 11am - 6pm.

The market, organised by Mid Ulster District Council, will showcase the very best of Mid Ulster’s local food, produce and crafts from all across the district, and will include exclusive foodie experiences, chef demonstrations, with a focus on our delicious local produce, and a range of crafts sure to cater for every taste.

Norah Brown MBE, Chef Lauren Shimmon, Tailors House, Ballygawley and Suzie Lee Arbuthnot, winner of the BBC Best Home Cooks and as seen on BBC, RTE, This Morning and Ireland AM, will deliver the cookery demonstrations across the day ensuring to make the most out of all the delicious local produce available creating dishes that have less miles to travel

The market will feature over 25 stalls of local food, produce and crafts including Betty’s Ice Cream, Ballyriff Buffalo, Fluffy Meringue, Lough Neagh Stories and Woodlab Distillery, to name only a few.

During the day you will also be able to get closer to nature with Wild Walk Bushcraft delivering foraging walks through the forest where you will see up close and personal all that the forest has to offer.

As well as the market, there will also be performances from a number of local artists, including popular local artist, Andrea Begley.

There’s lots to keep children entertained too with activities such as facepainting and balloon modelling taking place as well as a variety of walkabout characters to meet and greet.
