About
Held in the beautiful and historic surroundings of Ballyscullion House, in the heart of Seamus Heaney country near Bellaghy, the Festival celebrates books, poetry, music, and the arts. Its mission is to showcase a rich and diverse programme, with a particular focus on voices from across the island of Ireland, alongside contributors from the UK and the wider world.
The Festival welcomes people of all backgrounds and ages, celebrating cultural richness while creating a space where stories and ideas bring people together. Across two days, attendees can enjoy a vibrant programme of talks, readings, and panel discussions. Between sessions, guests can meet their favourite writers in a relaxed and informal setting, while also enjoying live music, local food stalls, and an artisan market.
The 2026 Ballyscullion Park Book Festival will once again bring together some of the most compelling voices in literature, music, and the arts, alongside thought-provoking discussions on the issues shaping our world. In association with Queen's University Belfast, the Festival presents a programme that blends culture, conversation, and creativity.
We are also delighted to partner for a second year with NI Children's Hospice as our official charity partner.
