Music, Poems and Songs For The Soul

About

If you are in search of an afternoon to lift the spirits and warm the heart join Anne Tracey with family and friends in the intimate setting of The Helicon for their special brand of music, songs and poetry.

Following tradition, Anne will be joined by some of the finest talent from Mid-Ulster and beyond, including her gifted brothers Brendan and Michael Corey, the popular Moneymore poet Maura Johnson, and renowned singer-songwriter Roy Arbuckle, who will keep the afternoon lit up with stories and craic. Eddie O'Donnell on piano and guitar will provide accompaniment along with Tom Byrne, on accordion and harmonica. Tom will also perform tunes from his new album Gather Your Wits.

Anne writes: 'This year, in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of HomePlace, we will dedicate our afternoon to Dr Eamonn Baker who passed away on the first of May. Eamonn would formerly have introduced the performance in his own inimitable style, and we will remember him through some of his favourite songs, poems and tunes.'

The afternoon will be introduced by the poet Damian Gorman.
